The Gurduara Sahib is a sacred space of peace, equality, and devotion. Everyone β€” regardless of background, faith, or status β€” is welcome to come, learn, and experience the divine teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
When visiting, please observe the following Gurmat Maryada (spiritual code of conduct) to maintain the sanctity of the Gurduara.

πŸ›• Before Entering the Gurduara

Guidelines:
  • Remove your shoes and wash your hands and feet before entering.
  • Cover your head with a scarf, rumal, or turban.
  • Dress respectfully and modestly.
  • Avoid bringing tobacco, alcohol, or intoxicants onto the premises.

πŸ™ Inside the Darbar Sahib

Guidelines:
  • Enter quietly with reverence.
  • Bow humbly before Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  • Sit on the floor as a sign of equality and humility.
  • Keep silence and avoid unnecessary movement.
  • Do not point your feet toward Guru Sahib.

🎢 During Kirtan and Ardas

Guidelines:
  • Listen with devotion and join in the singing if you wish.
  • Avoid talking or distractions.
  • Stand respectfully during the Ardas and Hukamnama.

Guidelines:
  • Everyone is welcome, regardless of background.
  • Sit together on the floor as equals.
  • Accept food with gratitude and avoid wasting it.
  • Participate in sewa (service) β€” cooking, cleaning, or serving.

  • Maintain cleanliness and peace at all times.
  • Speak kindly and treat everyone equally.
  • Follow directions from Gurduara sevadars (volunteers).
  • Take part in sewa β€” the true expression of humility and devotion.
