Sikhism promotes Punjabi language as mother tongue. Punjabi (panjaabi), in Gurmukhi: ਪੰਜਾਬੀ is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by over 100 million native speakers worldwide, ranking as the 9th most widely spoken language (2019)[wikipedia] in the world. It is the native language of the Punjabi people, who associate with the historical Punjab region of India and Pakistan
To promote the mother tongue, a free Punjabi School is being run on premises.
The education of Sikh children and youths is the highest priority for Gurduara Sahib management and members. The primary purpose of Gurduara Library is to provide books, materials and services which will help each person develop his or her faith in Sikhism. To this end, the Library staff continually updates the books, periodicals, videos, and other materials available, maintains the library setting, and encourages patronage. Suggestions for materials to better serve you is also encouraged.
